8. Customer Obligations

8.1 Property Requirements

Customers must ensure that:

  • The property structure is suitable for solar installation
  • All necessary permissions and consents are obtained
  • Insurance coverage is adequate for the installation
  • Property ownership or installation rights are confirmed

8.2 Maintenance Obligations

To maintain warranties and optimal performance, customers must:

  • Keep solar panels clean and free from debris
  • Monitor system performance regularly
  • Report any issues or damage promptly
  • Allow access for annual inspections and maintenance
  • Use only authorized technicians for repairs

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 General Limitations

Our liability is limited to:

  • The total value of the contract for the services provided
  • Direct damages only (excluding consequential or indirect losses)
  • Claims made within the warranty period

9.2 Exclusions

We are not liable for:

  • Force majeure events (weather, natural disasters, etc.)

  • Normal wear and tear

10. Cancellation and Termination

10.1 Cooling-Off Period

For contracts signed away from our premises, you have a 14-day cooling-off period during which you may cancel without penalty.

10.2 Cancellation by Customer

Cancellation after the cooling-off period may result in:

  • Forfeiture of deposits for costs already incurred
  • Charges for work completed or materials ordered
  • Restocking fees for specialized equipment

10.3 Termination by Company

We may terminate contracts in cases of:

  • Non-payment or breach of payment terms
  • Unsafe site conditions
  • Customer breach of contract terms
  • Inability to obtain necessary approvals

11. Insurance and Safety

11.1 Our Insurance

We maintain comprehensive insurance including:

  • Public liability insurance (£2 million minimum)
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Product liability insurance
  • Employer's liability insurance

11.2 Customer Insurance

Customers should:

  • Notify their home insurance provider of the installation
  • Ensure adequate coverage for the solar system value
  • Maintain buildings insurance throughout the warranty period

12. Intellectual Property

All system designs, documentation, and technical specifications remain our intellectual property. Customers receive a license to use these materials for their installation only.

14. Dispute Resolution
